A Little About...

We at Cotswold Pianocraft specialise in the restoration of unique and unusual pianos, which have great potential, from a performance and musical point of view.

The particular brands of pianos which we enjoy working with are Steinway, Bechstein, Bluthner, Bosendorfer, Ibach, Broadwood, Brinsmead, Collard and Collard, Lipp, Gerhardt Adam, Erard and Pleyel.

Our objective is to maximise the end quality of any instrument by carefully reconstructing all areas of the piano, including the sound structure, casework and all mechanism parts.

The finished instrument must not only look beautiful, but must perform to the highest standards of music making. Wherever possible, the statistical properties of the instruments performance will be improved by introducing new technological innovations and with advanced materials.

The integrity of the musical performance is always maintained and we endeavour to keep the genuine and original tonal objectives and ethos built in by the former manufacturers.
