A Little About Our Renovations

 Piano Restoration

Our passion is for the rebuilding of high quality instruments, which we enjoy restoring to a high standard of care, giving great attention to detail. We aim for the pianos to look and sound better than they did when they first left the factory.

Utilising some technological innovations, state of the art techniques and newly developed materials, we can achieve an  amazing result.

Any quality instrument dating from the 1880s to the 1930s can be completely rebuilt to a 'better than new' standard.

Our favourite makes to work with are Steinway, Bluthner, Fazioli, Bechstein, Bosendorfer, Broadwood, Collard & Collard, Ibach, Yamaha, Kawai, Feurich and Grotrian Steinweg.

There are many other high quality instruments from the golden period of piano building which can be wonderfully restored, such as Brinsmead, Gerhard Adam, Schimmel, Seiler, Richard Lipp & Sohn, to name but a few.

A rebuild/ restoration will always be much more cost effective than buying a new equivalent, as the modern manufacturing of pianos has severe restrictions on the use of certain endangered materials, such as  certain wood types and of course, ivory.
